GOVERNOR ENO INAUGURATES 60M OBOT AKARA BRIDGE PROJECT, AWARDS CONTRACT FOR MBIASO BRIDGE

Governor Umo Eno Unveils Infrastructure Milestones in Obot Akara:
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has marked significant infrastructure accomplishments in Obot Akara local government area with the inauguration of a 60-meter bridge project and the announcement of a new project at Mbiaso.

The recently completed project, initiated by his predecessor Mr. Udom Emmanuel, exemplifies continuity in development efforts. Additionally, plans are underway to establish a modern primary school at St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School in Nto Ide, alongside initiatives to empower female youths through training and entrepreneurship programs.

The governor’s commitment to community development and youth empowerment underscores his administration’s dedication to progress and inclusivity.

“The project comes with a 60m span reinforced concrete bridge piled to a depth of 23m and can carry 450 ton capacity which is equivalent to 7 fully loaded cement trucks at the same time”, Prof. Ibanga added.

Goodwill messages were also received from the PDP State chairman, Elder Aniekan Akpan who expressed delight at the achievements of the party in the State.
